アイアトン・エンタテインメントは、映像製作、配給及びコンサルティング、タレントマネジメントを含む全てのエンタテインメント関連事業を行うのを目的に、２０１５年４月１日に創立されました。ウィリアム・アイアトンの主導のもとに、我が社は上質なコンテンツの製作を国内外で行っています。現在、日本を本拠地とし、吉本興業、東北新社及びスターチャンネルと戦略的な提携関係を結んでいます。

ウィリアム・アイアトンは、この２６年間にわたりワーナーエンターテイメント ジャパン及びその前身であるワーナー・ブラザース・ピクチャーズ・ジャパンに在籍、２００６年からはCEOとして、日本における劇場映画製作及び配給、テレビ作品配給、ホーム・エンターテイメント、コンシューマー・プロダクツ、ビデオゲームを含む、ワーナーエンターテイメント ジャパンの全ての事業を統率いたしました。その前は、１９８８年の入社当時からの役職であるワーナー・ブラザース・ピクチャーズ・ジャパンのマネージング・ディレクターとして、「マトリックス」３部作、「ハリー・ポッター」シリーズ、「ラストサムライ」、「硫黄島からの手紙」を含む重要な映画作品の配給を成功に導きました。ワーナー・ブラザースによる日本語映画の製作が開始され、アイアトンが製作した「るろうに剣心」３部作は、合計１億ドル以上の興行収入を得ています。加えて、映画「パラダイス・キス」、「最後の忠臣蔵」、「藁の盾」、「黒執事」及び「許されざる者」（クリント・イーストウッド監督・主演）の日本語リメイク（李相日監督、渡辺謙主演）も、アイアトンの主導のもとに製作された映画作品であります。２０１９年１月、ソニー・ピクチャーズ・インターナショナルプロダクションズの日本代表に就任。

現在はアイアトン・エンタテインメント代表として、海外に向けた日本の映像コンテンツの製作を手掛けている。

Ireton Entertainment was founded on April 1, 2015 and is involved in all facets of entertainment including production, distribution, consulting and talent management.  Led by Bill Ireton, we look to create quality content and discover business opportunities around the globe. Based in Japan, we currently have strategic alliances with Yoshimoto Kogyo, Tohokushinsha and Star Channel.

Bill Ireton's career for the last 26 years was with Warner Entertainment Japan, and its predecessor, Warner Bros. Pictures Japan. Appointed CEO in 2006, he had broad oversight of all Warner Bros.’ businesses in Japan, including theatrical production and distribution, television distribution, home entertainment, consumer products and video games. Prior to that, he was Managing Director, Warner Bros. Pictures Japan, a role in which he joined the company in 1988, where he was instrumental in the distribution of such key releases as the Matrix trilogy, the Harry Potter films, The Last Samurai and Letters from Iwo Jima. Ireton started local Japanese production for Warner Bros., and produced the Rurou ni Kenshin trilogy, which together grossed over $100 million. In addition, he made Paradise Kiss, The Last Chushingura, The Straw Shield, Kuroshitsuji and the Japanese remake of Clint Eastwood’s Unforgiven, starring Ken Watanabe under the direction of Sang-il Lee.  On January 2019, Bill Ireton was appointed Head of Local Production Japan, Sony Pictures International Productions.

He is currently creating Japanese content for audiences around the world as Representative Director of Ireton Entertainment.
